Most smartphones made after 2019 support eSIM, including iPhone XR/XS and newer, the Samsung Galaxy S20 series and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and many other manufacturers' devices. Your phone must be carrier-unlocked. You can check whether your device is compatible in the app.

You receive your eSIM immediately after purchase. You can choose from three installation methods: (1) Scan a QR code — the simplest, using your phone's camera; (2) Direct install — a single tap on iOS 17.4+ devices; (3) Manual setup — by entering the activation code by hand. A Wi-Fi connection is required for installation.

Most plans start their validity period when you first connect to a local network in the destination country. This means you can install it at home before you travel — validity only starts when you arrive. Some plans start their validity on installation; we always note this in the plan details.

Prices depend on the destination, the amount of data and the validity period. There are no hidden fees. Plans start from a low price, and you can see the exact, current prices in the app or on our website.

You can pay securely by bank card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. We issue a proper VAT invoice for every purchase, which you can download from the app.

We offer data plans for more than 200 countries and regions. You can choose a single-country plan (e.g. Turkey only), a regional plan (e.g. all of Europe or Asia-Pacific), or a global plan that works across much of the world. Popular destinations include Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Austria, Thailand, Egypt and the USA.

Yes! Most modern phones are Dual SIM capable, meaning your eSIM and physical SIM can be active at the same time. So you use the eSIM Surfer plan for data abroad while still receiving calls, texts and OTP codes on your home number.

If you use up your data allowance, you can simply buy a top-up plan for your existing eSIM from the app — no need to install a new one. The app shows your used and remaining data in real time, so you always know where you stand.

Yes, a stable internet connection is required to install — we recommend Wi-Fi. That's why it's worth installing the eSIM at home before you travel, when you have reliable Wi-Fi. For most plans the validity only starts in the destination country, so you don't lose any time.

Yes. Payments are handled by Stripe, one of the most secure payment providers in the world. Sign-in is passwordless — via magic link or biometric authentication (fingerprint, Face ID) — so there's no password to steal. The app is operated by a registered company that issues proper VAT invoices.
